Intentions
The voltage that drives the behaviors that can produce the desired results.
We know that conscious thought is a precursor to conscious creating and constructing specific goals is an important step in activating the laws of creation. However, one miscalculation is to think of something that we want and then wait for it to be delivered as if it will magically appear.
It takes a combination of thinking and acting in a certain way to create or attract specific things or circumstances. Even then, rarely does it turn out exactly as we envision. What we create is delivered to us through the natural order of our world, not through magic; all we experience comes through established channels.
After we have a clear picture of what we want we must do something other than mark time. Thinking is an action that begets physical action. To make a desire come to fruition we must create an intention. An intention, in this context, is not a desire; intention is the voltage that drives the behaviors that can produce the desired results. Without intentions we are simply mechanisms that perform programmed behaviors that may or may not be in our best interest.
Biological Intentions
We are all familiar with biological intentions, which come organically
and easily. When we get hungry, we naturally develop an intention to satisfy that
hunger, when we get cold, we readily intend to get warm. Intentions move us to accomplishment;
intentions cause us to put forth the effort and energy necessary to get what we want.
Wanting a new vehicle doesn’t have the same intensity urge that is prompted by a biological need but never-the-less non-survival desires require intention of equal potency if we expect to satisfy our wants. Intention is when we decide to have what we truly desire and are willing to do what it takes (with commonsensible, ethical and value considerations) to make it happen. Desires without intention are fantasies. Without intention we are subject to the law of chance over which we have no control.
Intention Transforms
When intention is established there is an interesting transformation
that takes place. We open ourselves to our higher guidance and in some unexplained
way we have inspirations and insights that motivate and mobilized us in a new direction.
It is rather quizzical to see how intention brings forth ideas and opportunities
that did not exist prior to an established intention. Sometimes is seems as if we
were blind to the obvious, other times there is help from unfamiliar and unexpected
quarters.
Intention brings in new information, initiates new behaviors and creates new circumstances. These may show up as small steps but are the pathway to the intended goal. When we decide what we want and make a commitment to pursue a specific goal then everything changes and we are no longer pawns of fate.
For those of us who do not know what to do after our intention is crystallized it is well advised to relax, be awake and listen. Sooner or later we will be inspired to take some action, however, we should be aware that the new direction may not be so comfortable.
We must resist the fear of change and move in a new direction, any non-destructive direction, in order to escape the inertia of our secure and comfy stagnation. When a worthy goal and intention are created there is ongoing fulfillment in each of the steps that are as much, or more fulfilling than the actual goal realization. If this were not so life for the most part would be unsatisfying.
If the creating process is not gratifying then the adoption of a new goal and intention would be well advised. Changing goals is not unusual for those who focus on the satisfaction of journey rather than the pot of gold at the end. If we aren’t content now, we never will be. There is no prize in creation that is worth being miserable. We don’t always know what we really want until we start the pursuit so we should never hesitate to change directions if the path we are on is not fulfilling.

“If we do not think differently, feel differently or behave differently, we are not going to experience much difference other than what chance throws at us.
But intention can alter all of that.
When we decide what we want and make a commitment to pursue the goal then everything changes and we are no longer pawns of fate.”
